We're building a complete, accurate list of the independent dumpster rental companies operating in the United States.

Who gets listed

Independently owned roll-off companies and locally owned franchises, the operator whose truck shows up is the company you called. We don't list national carriers like Waste Management or Republic, and we don't list brokers who resell your job to somebody else.

A company needs at least 12 Google reviews to appear on our town pages. That's a deliberate floor. It keeps the town pages useful and filters out listings for businesses that have closed or never really opened. Companies under the threshold still have a profile here and can still claim it; they just don't show up in the town listings until they clear 12. The threshold is the same for everyone and can't be bought.

How the Index Score works

Town pages are ordered by an Index Score out of 100, and companies can't pay us to move it. Review volume is 35 points, Google rating 25, published pricing 25, and 15 for being contactable at all, split between a website (7), a phone number (5) and a listed address (3).

The pricing component is the one worth explaining, because it is unusual. A company earns those 25 points by publishing its own rates, not by being cheap. Four or more sizes priced scores the full 25; a single price scores 12; publishing sizes but no prices scores 5. That is deliberate. This site exists because most of the trade quotes by phone and comparing is hard, so the ranking rewards the companies that make comparison possible. A hauler moves up by publishing what it charges or by earning reviews, and by nothing else.

Where the data comes from

Listings are built from public sources: business listings for the company details, and each company's own website for the sizes and prices it publishes. Nothing here was submitted by the companies themselves unless the listing says so.

That is why most listings read Unclaimed. It does not mean we doubt the company, it means the owner has not been through it and told us what we got wrong. Where an owner has, what they told us overrides what the crawler found. Corrections reach a person rather than a queue and they are free.

How to read what is here

Published prices are what a company's own website said when we last read it, and we re-read them on a rolling basis rather than once. A rate you confirm on the phone is the one to book against; treat anything here as the number that gets you a useful first call.

Service areas are estimated from each company's address rather than confirmed with the owner, so a hauler may travel further than we show, or less far. Check before you count on it.

And the ranking rewards publishing. A hauler who posts their rates will sit above an equally good one who quotes only by phone, which is a property of the measure rather than a judgement about either business.

What it costs

Nothing. There's no paid placement, no featured tier, and no ranking to buy. If that changes, this page changes first.

Who runs the Dumpster Price Index?

Ryan Muniak, who builds and maintains websites for independent dumpster rental companies across the United States and runs a waste-collection business. The Index is compiled from the rates those companies publish. The pages are built by a generator, the way any directory this size is; what a person does is decide who gets listed, write the rules the generator follows, and check the output. Corrections go to a person, not a queue.

How does this site make money?

It does not, yet. There is no paid tier, no advertising and no placement for sale. Quote requests sent through the forms here are passed to companies serving that town at no charge, and no company pays to receive one or pays more to receive more. It exists because the underlying data is useful and because the people who run it work with these companies. That is also why nobody can pay to rank higher: there is nothing to sell.

How is a company chosen for the directory?

It has to be independently owned and it has to rent roll-off containers. National carriers, brokers and junk-removal franchises are excluded. Listings are shown publicly at 12 or more Google reviews, a threshold applied uniformly so the town pages stay useful.

Something about my listing is wrong. How do I fix it?

Claim the listing and tell us what is wrong. It is free, there is nothing to buy, and corrections are made without charge. Owners are the best source of truth on service area and pricing, and the crawler cannot confirm either.
