How much concrete, brick and block weigh

The rule that catches people
Heavy material goes in a 10-yard only, filled partway. No hauler will lift a full large container of it.
Worth knowing. Ask for the clean-fill rate. Concrete with no wood, trash or rebar mixed in gets recycled, and most haulers price it well below a mixed load.

Concrete recyclers often take clean broken slab free or for a small tipping fee.
Getting it ready
Keep it clean and it is worth money to somebody. Clean concrete with nothing mixed in gets crushed and reused as aggregate, and haulers charge a lower flat rate for it because the disposal route is cheaper than a landfill. Rebar is usually fine. Wood, plastic sheeting, bagged trash and soil are not, and one contaminated corner reprices the whole container.
